Payroll / Accounts Assistant

part time – 3 days per week

Due to retirement we are now looking for an experienced payroll/accounts person to join our busy finance team. Ideally you will be able to work Tuesday – Thursday, 0930 – 1730hrs with some flexibility to assist during peak periods. We employ approximately 150 people across our whole site and this role will have responsibility for processing 3 separate payrolls as well as assisting with day-to-day purchase ledger work.

Our “must haves” include:

  • Recent experience of computerised payroll and purchase ledger software (Ideally Sage);
  • Purchase ledger experience;
  • Experience of payroll processing, ideally hourly as well as salaried employees, along with an understanding of statutory payments, tax codes, RTI etc.
  • Confidence with Excel – able to create and use spreadsheets
  • Willing and able to work flexibly within at team
