We currently have two vacancies:
Aldeburgh Music is based at the Snape Maltings, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the east coast of Suffolk. In addition to the world-renowned Concert Hall, Snape Maltings is also home to the Hoffmann Building and the Britten–Pears Building, both of which contain a mixture of rehearsal and performance spaces.
We are known around the world for the international standard of our Aldeburgh Festival in June and our year-round programme of events including opera, contemporary dance, choral and orchestral concerts as well as programmes and residencies for young musicians and established professionals. We also run a Proms season during August with a wide range of musical styles including jazz, folk, classical, big band and world music.
In 2017 we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Concert Hall. This will see the start of an ambitious fund raising effort to develop many of the unused buildings on the site as well as a major upgrade of the facilities in the Concert Hall.
The successful applicant will be a clear, articulate communicator who enjoys working with artists and technicians and is dedicated to helping to produce high quality concerts and events. They will be expected to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends. This post could offer an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their professional career to develop and build their lighting and AV experience.
