The Turn of the Screw
Britten's powerful and disturbing chamber opera is given a new production as part of the opening season of Aldeburgh Music's new rehearsal and performance facilities. Our new venue, the Britten Studio, will provide the inspiration for a minimalist new production by the theatre director Neil Bartlett.

33rd International Academy of String Quartets
Our annual string quartet academy goes from strength to strength, with alumni successes in a host of international competitions. Course directors Isabel Charisius and Sebastian Hamann are joined by guest teacher David Dolan, a specialist in classical improvisation.

Malcolm Martineau Schumann Lieder
Pianist Malcolm Martineau is one of the world's great exponents of the Lieder repertoire, and here he concentrates on the masterpieces of Robert Schumann.
Susan Youens is a specialist in the poetry of Lieder, having published frequently on the subject – she will lecture during the course on this fascinating area of repertoire.
