The project will achieve the following at Snape:

purchase of the 999-year lease of Snape Maltings Concert Hall, the Britten–Pears
Building and existing ancillary spaces, including the car parking areas

purchase of additional redundant buildings for conversion

redevelopment of these buildings to provide:
Britten Studio
Jerwood Kiln Studio
two smaller studios
artist social space, kitchen, offices and storage

equipping the spaces including the purchase of new pianos

landscaping

We are moving ahead with the development of some of the spaces earmarked for future growth,
which will hugely improve the way the Aldeburgh Music site functions as a campus. These include
converting the old dovecote into a studio for use by writers, visual artists and musicians; the
creation of an artists cafe; a new public open space and an information centre.
