All donors giving £5,000 and above will be acknowledged by having their names on donor
boards in the foyer of the Snape Maltings Concert Hall.
All donations can be paid in annual instalments over a maximum of three years
(if before December 2008) or two years thereafter. Donations totalling
£250 or more may be paid
by monthly standing order.
Gifts may be made as:
• a one off donation
• a pledge with a schedule of payments
• a gift of shares or other assets
• in-kind support
• a donation through Aldeburgh’s 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status for US taxpayers
Signing a Gift Aid declaration or giving shares will enable Aldeburgh and the donor to benefit
from the latest charity tax laws.
The 999 Club
Donations from £250
The 999 Club, so called because of the historic purchase of the 999-year lease on the Concert
Hall and other buildings needed for our new ‘campus’, offers a range of ways to give from £250
upwards. All donors to the scheme will have their names in our programme books until the end
of 2009. Each level outlined is available in multiples, and if you give
a total of £999 or more
you will receive an invitation to an event to celebrate the opening
of the new buildings.
999 Member – £250 (£84 per year or £7 per month for three years)
Your name will appear in our programme books until the end of 2009.
Footprint Member – £500 (£167 per year or £14 per month for three years)
We invite you to stamp your own footprint
on our newly acquired site by ‘adopting’ 25 square
metres. Your name will appear alongside other Footprint Members on a plaque outside the
Concert Hall and you will also receive a plan of the site with your ‘footprint’ marked to
commemorate your generosity.
Boundary Member – £999 (£333 per year or £27.75 per month for three years)
As a Boundary Member of the 999 Club your generosity will be acknowledged by having your
name on a board of the new boardwalk in the reeds on our eastern boundary. This will remain
for the life of the boardwalk. If you wish to ‘name’ more than
one, perhaps for children or
grandchildren, the minimum amounts we seek are as follows: Boundary
Duo (two boards) – £1,800,
Boundary Trio (three boards) – £2,500. Each additional board above three will be £700.
Aldeburgh Music Founders
Donations from £5,000
You can join this select group at one of three levels:
Water level – £5,000 and above
• invitation to an annual Founders' reception
• invitation
to an event to celebrate the opening of the new building
Reed level – £10,000 and above
All benefits as for Water level plus:
• preview tour of new complex
• preferential ticketing
• a limited edition artwork
Sky level – £20,000 and above
All benefits as for Reed level plus:
• invitation
to a dinner prior the opening event
• dedicated member of Development Department to look after ticket requests
• invitations to private rehearsals or works-in-progress
• opportunities to meet artists
• advance artistic plans
All donations may be paid over three years
Freedom of Snape Maltings Concert Hall
Minimum donation of £40,000
If your donation is in excess of £40,000, the Freedom of Snape Maltings Concert Hall will
be conferred on you, with the chance to develop a deeper level of involvement with artistic life
of Aldeburgh.
