The Recycled Orchestra
Ever wanted to play your wheelie bin? Here is your chance - at last. Under the watchful eye of junk master George Fothergill and percussionist Simon Limbrick we will be creating a one-off rhythmical rubbish bonanza. We need you, your wheelie bin and anything else loud you can play - car wheels, break drums, air horns - everything you can get your hands on. No previous musical knowledge required.

If you would like to get involved with this event, please contact Eleanor Whitley.

In Perfect Communication
Research scientist Mark Limbrick will be exploring sound and how it travels through a simple structure made from a single wire. You have the chance to come and watch, listen and play this unusual instrument.

With the generous support of the Chapman Trust.

Old Joe on the Beach
Come and witness a world premiere from composer David Bedford. Commissioned by Aldeburgh Education this piece is for all kinds of groups from the local community. Taking the 'Old Joe has gone fishing' theme from 'Peter Grimes', we will hear instrumentalists, singers, Tupperware players, kazoos, pebbles, dog biscuits, drums, saucepans and frying pans - who knows. Just be prepared for groups coming from all directions, lots of fun and the chance to take part if you'd like!

If you would like to get involved with this event, please contact Colin Virr. Alternatively, you can download a participant application form.
