Aldeburgh Music

The Big Latin Weekend is the opportunity for total immersion in the many facets of Latin music including dance and percussion workshops, a salsa night with Alex’s brand new group, a Latin violin workshop with Cuban maestro Omar Puente, dance classes with Salsa Chillout’s Yolande Lewis, a collaboration with Aldeburgh Young Musicians and an intimate solo piano concert featuring new music from Alex’s forthcoming solo piano album. The weekend’s grand finale is a Prom bringing all of Alex’s diverse musical influences into one deliciously varied concert which will include Cuban bagpiper Wilber Calver, a collaboration with the Aldeburgh Young Musicians, soul diva Naomi Phillips and violin maestro, Omar Puente.
