A collective of the Scottish folk scene’s hottest properties, a Fiddles gig is a raucous, whirling celebration of the Highlands and Islands.
Like single malts, the music seems to draw on the distinctive flavours, history and surroundings of the performers’ native homelands. The traditional solo tunes and dances are interrupted and interspersed with riotous explosions of sound as the group join together for dazzling ensemble sets.
Illuminated by funny and often touching introductions and spiced with wit and humour, it is an intoxicating brew and an unmissable event for any lover of live traditional music.
