Francisco Coll García Sguardo verso l'interno, Op.14 (world premiere)*
Szymanowski Quartet No.2 Britten Quartet No.1

Today celebrates the Britten–Pears Young Artist Programme’s place at the heart of Aldeburgh Festival. Britten’s first quartet is a blend of technical finesse and athletic, muscular energy. Szymanowski’s second quartet is an astute pairing, music of seductive harmonies, shimmering textures and a folk-imbued rhythmic drive.

‘I’d rush to hear this superb quartet again’
The Times

Francisco Coll's new work has been co-commissioned by the Aix-en-Provence, Aldeburgh and Verbier festivals.

Supported by Alan and Judi Britten
