Oliver Knussen and Colin Matthews’ biennial contemporary composition and performance course at the Britten–Pears Programme has nurtured some of the finest young composers emerging on the international stage, and inspired new collaborations with their performing colleagues.

This concert is an enticing snapshot of their work, framed by some of the 20th century’s great originals.
