Aldeburgh Music

The Rare Theatricall is a collective of musicians committed to exploring the drama and theatre of seventeenth century music.

Reinvigorating the familiar and rediscovering neglected scores, they envelop them in a new context for a contemporary audience. Following an Aldeburgh Residency, they present a workshop performance of English theatre music by Purcell, Locke and Blow as part of a collaborative project with dancers and actors.
