Pianist Malcolm Martineau is one of the world’s great exponents of the Lieder repertoire; Susan Youens is a specialist in the poetry of Lieder, having published frequently on the subject.
Together, they take singers from the Britten–Pears Young Artist Programme through the poetry and song of some of Schumann’s masterpieces.
