How to apply

To apply for the 2010 - 2011 Foundation Course, please contact Chelsea Lawrence, Opera Administrator, for an application form, on Tel: +44 (0)1728 687100 or email clawrence@aldeburgh.co.uk.

Please note that it is not possible to download an application form from Aldeburgh Music's website.

Applications must arrive by the deadline of Friday 23 April 2010. Completed applications should be sent by post to:

 Composers

Your completed application pack should include:

  • Completed application form.
  • A copy of your CV and a comprehensive list of works.
  • A CD (strongly preferred over DVD, video, etc.) with recordings of 3 recent works. At least one of the pieces should be in full; excerpts are acceptable for the other two. Please try to limit the recording to no more than 30 minutes of music.
  • A list of tracks and programme notes to go with the CD.
  • Any further information that you think would support your application.

Please do not send scores with the recording, but we may ask you to provide one during the selection process.

Other Applicants

Your completed application pack should include:

  • Completed application form.
  • A copy of your CV and a comprehensive list of works/engagements.
  • Two examples of recent works. This may take any appropriate form (e.g., play script, DVD or stills of performance, etc.).
  • Any further information that you think would support your application.
