String Quartets in ResidenceWe continue our popular series of String Quartet Residencies with regular Friday lunchtime concerts in the Jubilee Hall.
Taking part this year are the Solstice, Badke, Doric, EnAccord, Signum, Piatti and Brodowski Quartets, plus Ensemble Diderot and the Aronowitz Ensemble.

Gwyneth HerbertAfter her Snape Proms debut in 2009, Gwyneth will return throughout 2010 to develop a new song cycle with a strong focus on women’s relationship to the sea. The work will be recorded and taken on a small scale tour.
February and April 2010
Charlotte BrayThis promising young composer will be in residence at various times throughout the year as part of the Aldeburgh Composer Residency scheme.
She has also been commissioned by the Academy du Festival d’Aix-en Provence, Verbier Festival Academy and Aldeburgh Music to write for the forces of string quartet and singer, with the piece performed at each the commissioners' festivals.
Latin, jazz and world music specialist Alex Wilson took part in an Aldeburgh Residency in September 2008, alongside Malian musicians Madou Sidiki Diabaté and Ahmed Fofana, to develop their Mali Latino project.
