One of this country’s most distinguished and versatile musicians, Nicholas Daniel is familiar to Aldeburgh audiences as virtuosic soloist, chamber musician, and Britten Sinfonia’s principal oboist.
Alongside centrepieces of the oboe repertoire his peerless reputation in new music is reflected in music by the Festival’s two featured composers, including Birtwistle’s lyrical miniature, a work he premiered.
